CALLING

Today we are going to look at Calling.

In my last message I spoke of why we were created by God the uncreated one, and simply put it was for His Purpose. Father God said I will create man in our image (speaking of the Triune Godhead) and give him dominion of the earth. He will worship me, and I will commune with him. God never intends, rather He always operates in His Providential purpose. God created us to worship Him, serve Him, honor Him, and give glory to Him in everything we do.

We are all called to be a witness to the good news of the Gospel, the gift of salvation in Jesus Christ. This calling pertains to all and is referred to as the great commission: “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

Your calling is from your mother’s womb. Consider the prophet Jeremiah. In Jeremiah 1:5 the Lord says: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Notice the words “consecrate” and “appoint,” as these are important steps in the process, regardless of what Father has purposed for you. Consider the Apostle Paul, Galatians 1:13-15 “God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles.”

We all arrive in this world with a calling from God. Unfortunately, most miss their calling. Scripture says many are called but few are chosen. We do have free will so the ball is in our court so to speak – you are given a choice. How will we respond? Are you seeking God? He is always speaking to you and desirous of the relationship He longs to have with you.

Why are so few chosen? That’s a good question. Part of the answer is the rebellion and laziness of our flesh. The flesh rebels against submission and sacrifice. Scripture tells us that Jesus learned obedience through that which He suffered. We are not required to suffer to the extent He did of taking in all the sin of the world and suffering the cruelest death ever devised. Most of our sacrifice is extremely miniscule in comparison to His. Some of us will be tortured and/or martyred for Christ and all will be persecuted for His sake.

If you are uncertain of the cost of following Christ, consider eternity. Are you going to let the Devil deceive and rob you of your right to rule and reign with Christ for eternity, for a few years of fun and sin here on this earth? Having been in the flesh and running from God for half of my life to date, I can assure you that nothing compares to life in Christ Jesus. I can tell you with the Apostle Paul that to live is Christ and to die is gain. Having been at the precipice of death in 2018, I can assure you that once you know Christ there is no fear.

Let me interject my personal testimony. I loved God from early youth and wanted to serve Him. I was basically on my own as I had no Fathering example to solidify truth and teach me. Religious institutions of man seemed, and for the most part were, ungodly and failed me. I knew God had me here for a purpose, but because of the witness of most Christians I ran in the opposite direction. I got to the end of myself and found purpose in God on my own. It was a long and hard journey because I had no previous firm foundation to build upon. From my start on the right path, it still required 30 years for my wife and I to begin moving in our providential purpose. Gradually we got on course and God, in His goodness, (and He never gives up on you) began placing us in preparatory training and situations to sharpen us for His providential purpose in and through us. We knew 30 years prior that Africa was where He wanted us. Though we are older, He has kept His promise and has given us the Continent of Africa. We have Apostolic Blueprints for our metron. I doubt we will evangelize every African nation, as Africa is vast, nevertheless we are raising up sons and daughters to pass the mantle when our sojourn is finished. They will take the baton and finish the race.

Saints, God is so good and so faithful. I remember all the years I cried out to Him that He allow me to complete my destiny in Him. I wanted to hear “well done thy faithful servant – you accomplished the purpose for which I created you.” And the Devil constantly reminded of my past and tried to convince me that I was unworthy. I remember when I finally realized that I must stand, and I declared: “Get thee from me Satan – I belong to the King of Glory, and you are a defeated foe.” The battle increases, but you have the Godhead and their angelic host behind you. Your road to fulfilment of destiny becomes an unstoppable overwhelming joy.

Glory to God – His time is not our time and I rejoice that I have been accelerated into the Kingdom at such age and for such a vastly important time as we are living in today. Never regret a late start. Think of the Apostle Paul who did a complete 180 degree turn from the flesh and a mind under influence of Satan’s world. He thought he was doing God’s work by persecuting Christians. Satan loves to use the religious spirit to stall or destroy your purpose and confuse those you influence.  It often takes years of preparation to prepare, mature and sharpen that we can stand strong against our enemy and be victorious. In our case we also had a military career before our move toward our God given destiny. The anointing is God’s, and He will never cheapen it. It will cost you everything, but nothing you can imagine compares with it. The nature of the call and your willingness to pursue also determine how hard the enemy fights your progress.

All said aside, I want to emphasize the critical need for real fathers who are willing to sacrifice to keep you on track. The greater your anointing, the greater will be Satan’s attempt to find a small crack in your armor and slip in a hook to start your ruin. Far too many great men and women of God have fallen through pride or not having a spiritual father to stand with them.

Fathering must be done God’s way so that flesh doesn’t get in the way. Fathering leadership can be accomplished by male or female, as it is the heavenly Fathers extension on the earth to mature and prepare you. If you believe you can do it on your own, you are already deceived by Satan and he can’t wait to take you down. If you ask Holy Spirit, He will lead you to the correct fathering leader. Don’t examine the failures of various movements that have caused damage to many, rather examine the Biblical examples and submission becomes a joy rather than a burden. Consider Jesus’s submission to His Father, Elisha’s submission to Elijah, Timothy’s submission to Paul. If you can’t ask and trust Holy Spirit to lead you to a father, you seriously need to evaluate your relationship with the Godhead. It is God’s design and plan to prepare you for your destiny and purpose. A proper fathering leader takes the relationship seriously, is answerable to God, and truly desires and expects you to far exceed what he has contributed to the Kingdom.

This may upset some, but we are not here to “build” or “plant” churches. Hear me out Saints for it is the truth as Jesus established in His early body. Jesus did not say to go into the world and build churches. Jesus said preach the Gospel of the Kingdom. But Dr Guy, Jesus refers to His church. The truth is that a demonically inspired King of England instructed that the word “church” be used as the definition of the Greek word “Ecclesia.” The Bible was the King James “Authorized Version” – authorized by a King NOT THE KING. Ecclesia means something totally different. Ecclesia means a governing body – Christ’s body that decrees and legislates the will of God in the earth. When we live in Kingdom Culture, Jesus is able to establish His Ecclesia. This was Christ’s blueprint and it worked perfectly for 70 years until Rome seized the known world of that time. We have spent almost 2000 years experimenting and thinking we could do it better. We have come full circle and are finally beginning to understand what we lost. Some are again understanding that we must live as Christ purposed for us, decree our victorious Lord’s Kingdom established on earth, participate in the great harvest, and be prepared to rule and reign with our Lord in the Millennium

Let me encourage you by sharing my experience. My wife and I had finished military service and were led by Holy Spirit to the Bible School, Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas. This was 1988 and I had just given my life to Jesus in 1985. Although an accomplished military officer, I was a babe in Christ. Our radical faith brought upon us a never-ending attack of Satan. Though the Lord showed me our purpose, we were mostly on our own with four young children. The Lord never deserted me nor let me go, but I lacked a father to keep me on track.

Fast forward 25 years and I was begging God for my purpose and destiny before I died. I rose-up in realization that I was God’s child and made it clear to my enemy that no weapon formed against me would prosper. We rapidly made connections as God opened doors in advanced studies, ordination, placed us in a local Ecclesia, and gave us the promised nations. All the steps fell in place. What had held us down for so many years melted away in the presence of the Lord. Yes it was acquisition of unshakable faith, but it was Holy Spirit that led us to a father that was able to see our purpose and resolutely push and support us in our God ordained metron. He even got us writing and publishing books. With apostolic and prophetic revelation and his focus on our primary ministry gift we were quickly ministering in the nations of Africa. When we are in our God ordained metron we have the authority and power to exercise our faith in fullness. Dr. Lindy and I expect and see miracles, signs, and wonders. This is the power of fathering leadership and why it is so very important in this hour. I am totally convinced that when executed correctly it is the missing link that Satan viciously fights and tries so hard to pervert.

As I said, we all have a calling and when we accept the gift of God through Jesus, we are equipped to find, open, and release our spiritual and perhaps   ministry gift or gifts also.  All of us have a role to play and yours is just as important as anyone else’s, regardless of your thoughts of your own significance. The Father has it all planned out. Think of the unseen and often unknown intercessors – their unrecognized significance is as great as the worldwide Evangelist, for they have paved the way in the Spirit for the effectiveness of that recognized ministry. Consider the early Evangelist Charles Finney from the second great awakening in America. People fell to their knees and cried out to God in advance of his horseback ride into their town. He was extremely powerful and anointed, but if one studies him, they will find that an obscure intercessor named Daniel Nash was the key and Finney attributes his success on the field to this prayer warrior.

If you are not called to one of the five ministry gifts given by our Lord, delineated in Ephesians 4:11, Apostle, Prophet, Evangel, Teacher, or Pastor, you should not feel slighted in any way. The Body of Christ cannot function correctly without you doing your part in the Kingdom. Father designed it that way and Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and if you attempt to do a function outside of your metron of calling you will struggle and not be as effective, and your ministry will be a burden as opposed to the joy of being where you are supposed to be. Dr Lindy and I have an Apostolic metron of Africa. We are ordained and commissioned for that metron. We carry Apostolic blueprints for Africa; it is where we are most effective, where we receive greatest anointing and where we are most happy. We love our United States and have purpose here also. Unless Holy Spirit tells us different, we will remain here and endure the excruciatingly long air travel, as well as physical and financial expense to be in our metron. The Lord is enabling us to raise up strong spiritual sons and daughters in our metron that function with us and God blesses us all. We don’t understand it all, but it works. Though our five remaining biological children are now adults we still have work to do with them. By the way, here is a nugget for you: You are not fulfilling His purpose by saving the world at the expense of your spouse and children. Neglecting your spouse and children is an invitation to Satin.

Father God is omniscient or all knowing so rest assured He knows what role He has prepared you to function in. Dr Lindy and I are consumed by nations. If you are so called don’t hesitate to pursue. It will cost you in more ways than you might imagine, but the joy is far greater than any sacrifice. After you discover your purpose and commit to the same, He will provide, sustain, and empower you in that purpose. That is your primary calling, your gift for primary focus. You may have additional gifts which will flow from the primary, but always focus on the primary to maximize His purpose in and through you. It is so crucial to get your calling correct. If it is correct you flow like a mighty river. If you are attempting to please God in your flesh you are out of His will for you and you will be without blessing and anointing. When you’re in His will nothing can stop you. I know I’m helping a lot of you and my prayer is that you open your spirit to Holy Spirit and get this right so that the rivers of living water will flow from your belly.
