HEAVEN IS WIDE OPEN TO YOU
Heaven is always open to those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, but I believe it is more open today than it’s ever been. It’s like Father is holding open house to show us His mansions & goodness and encouraging us to taste and see of His promises. The promises of God are yes and amen fulfilled in the finished work of the Cross.
In 1 Corinthians 13:12 the Apostle Paul says: “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” We who in faith hope & believe are seeing clearer every day and with increasing intensity. Before Paul’s day in Habakkuk 2:2-3 the Prophet was standing in faith and then the Lord answers him and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.” Then in verse 14 Habakkuk renders the Millennial Prophecy: “For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.” The Prophet, Jesus, has always and always will utilize His prophets to announce, clarify, edify, and occasionally judge. Prior to our redemption through Jesus the Godman the Prophet was the way God communicated with man.
Holy Spirit inspired this message while I was reading 1 Kings 18, which is great chapter where after 3 years of drought God instructs Elijah to deal with the weak King Ahab & his evil wife Jezebel and the prophets of Baal, which he embarrasses then slays. Elijah had avoided this couple because Jezebel had been slaying God’s Prophets and wanted him dead too. Then in verse 41-46 we read: “Then Elijah said to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain. So, Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. So, he went up and looked, and said, There is nothing. And seven times he said, “Go again. Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea! So, he said, Go up, say to Ahab, Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you. Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So, Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”
Elijah is prophetically announcing the end of the drought though in the natural there were no signs. My point is that if you can’t prophetically hear or see, at least have the faith to believe. Holy Spirit will begin to build you in your faith because He desires that we all prophesy (1 Corinthians 14:5).
I am reminded of April 2019 when Dr Lindy & I took a team to Tanzania. The people were in drought and fast becoming hopeless. We spoke prophetically to the situation and during the service heavy rain came such that they had move their electronics to the center of the church.
Paul, in 1 Corinthians 2:11, writes “For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.”
You might wonder why I use so much scripture. The answer it is God’s word and full of His truth and power. For example, in 1 Corinthians 4:20 reads: “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” Chew on this: The Word speaks to the Word. What I’m saying is that the inerrant written word, the Bible, alive and sharper than a two-edged sword, speaks to and agrees with the Word (Christ in us the hope of glory) and transforms the soul and spirit to align with Holy Spirit. This is the efficacy of God’s redemptive plan.
Our drought in the body of Christ is spiritual. So very few are willing to hear and discern the truth, which is why the Church is so underattended. Our priorities are wrong and, though I believe God will change them, this is why many believe the Remnant will be small (I personally expect a huge end time harvest of souls). Pastors who present the truth often take criticism for sharing what they see with spiritual eyes. The primary reason for this is that so many in the body of Christ are spiritually blind. Why so blind? The why is that many have been so numbed by the god of this world and in their laziness are unwilling to fight. And woe be unto those leaders that have made the Church a comfortable business enterprise almost devoid of the Gospel they are called to preach. We all need to repent, especially leadership. The Lord calls all Christian leaders to love and encourage, but also to take seriously the priorities of the Gospel. Though leaders proclaiming the truth may not get everything 100% correct, if it aligns with the Word, we should chew on the truth rather than judge. The Word will judge the fruit and feed you truth. We are to exhibit love and perform our given part, such that we as a body all prosper. No matter how far-fetched some things may seem, and we know crazy things are happening at a speed so fast we can’t grasp it all, let God judge and cleanse. I say to you calm your anxiety and shelter in the secret place of Psalm 91. God will always cover and protect you.
Read 2 Chronicles 20:14-20. In this account the spirit of God comes upon Jahaziel and he prophecies to the people who are facing a huge battle the next day, that in this battle all they need to do is stand still and see the salvation of God. King Josephat prays and then decrees: “Believe God and be established, believe His prophets and prosper.” In Old Testament times Prophets were how God communicated with His people. Although today we have His Word and Holy Spirit, the truth remains that He does nothing without first telling His servants the Prophets (Amos 3:7). The Prophet remains a viable and necessary office of ministry refreshing, edifying, and warning the people. Those that believe His Word and heed legitimate prophecy do prosper.
Whose report do you believe? The prophets foretold Donald Trump and God is using him to establish His Kingdom and free the oppressed. Those of the enemy’s camp are in full blown panic as they face justice and loss. On the other hand, knowing the truth we stand in our most Holy Faith and are blessed while eagerly awaiting our redemption.
In John 11 as Jesus raises Lazarus from the grave, He proclaims to Martha “I am the resurrection, and the life: He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” Martha answered in the affirmative, how about you? What I believe you should receive here is that we need vision within His Vision that will sustain and keep us. We must grow in our faith utilizing all the power tools we have been provided (recall Abraham only had blind faith in God to see our day in which the Promise now moves rapidly toward fulfillment). I am not the only prophetic voice seeing a “Open Heaven,” so pray, ask, believe, and receive your Promises – then utilize them for the Glory of God. It is your inheritance as a child of God.
As I write, the Christian world is celebrating the victory of our Lord over death and the grave and His glorious Resurrection. I say we need to make every day a Resurrection Day, living in Victory and endeavoring to do all that He has called us to do. I ask what is your level of belief? We truly are under a huge Open Heaven, and I encourage to take advantage of His goodness toward you and to live in Victory.
