STATE OF THE NATIONS

The message that Holy Spirit put in my heart for you today is the Old Testament account of 2 Chronicles 20 and the rhema to be extracted for application to the now. The Biblical account is of King Jehoshaphat’s Victory and the way in which it was accomplished. We see the Dunamis Power of Almighty God in action, how the victory was obtained, and the effect of the following mediocrity and sin as the next King and the people do, for all intent and purposes, negate all that was accomplished. Jehoshaphat was one of the good kings of the southern tribe of Judah. A great multitude of Moabites, Ammonites and others gathered to battle the southern kingdom. Jehoshaphat had just narrowly escaped with his life from the battlefield through an alliance with the evil King Ahab of the northern kingdom of Israel. His near death and the rebuke from the Seer Jehu left him fearful for his life, but he did fear God in the spiritual sense of the word fear. He correctly called his kingdom of Judah to fasting and prayer, seeking God’s help with the impending battle. Jehoshaphat set the example for the people, which exemplifies true leadership.

This was his prayer from verses 5-12: “Then Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court, and said: “O LORD God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You notrule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? AreYou not our God, whodrove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham, Your friend forever? And they dwell in it and have built You a sanctuary in it for Your name, saying, ‘If disaster comes upon us; sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine; we will stand before this temple and in Your presence (for Your name isin this temple), and cry out to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save.’ And now, here are the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir; whom You would not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them and did not destroy them; here they are, rewarding us by coming to throw us out of Your possession which You have given us to inherit. O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”

Verses 13-37 “Now all Judah, with their little ones, their wives, and their children, stood before the LORD. Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle isnot yours, but God’s. Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. You will not needto fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the LORD, worshiping the LORD. Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with voices loud and high. So, they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: Praise the LORD, for His mercy endures forever. Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. So, when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped. When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, they found among them an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies, and precious jewelry, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away; and they were three days gathering the spoil because there was so much… So, Jehoshaphat was king over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem…And he walked in the way of his father Asa, and did not turn aside from it, doing what wasright in the sight of the LORD. Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away, for as yet the people had not directed their hearts to the God of their fathers. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, indeed they arewritten in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, which is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel. After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah allied himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who acted very wickedly. And he allied himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish…. But Eliezer prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, because you have allied yourself with Ahaziah, the LORD has destroyed your works. Then the ships were wrecked, so that they were not able to go to Tarshish.”

Jehoshaphat was called a good king for his term of office, but notice the failure of the people to take away the high places, for they had not yet directed their hearts to the God of their fathers. If we go to 2 Kings:8-24 we see the results of failure to adhere to a righteous God as these scripture passages tell us of Jehoshaphat’s son, King Jehoram who by the people’s failure under his father and the revelation that Jehoram took an evil wife in Athaliah, the daughter of Jezebel and Ahab. You recall that Jezebel was extremely evil and killed God’s prophets. The spirit of Jezebel has through the ages been an extremely effective weapon of Satan to seduce and destroy the people of God.

This chapter of 2 Chronicles has a lot of meat and truth of which God’s people can’t seem to get aligned correctly. The problem exists today in what I would say is a more egregious or appalling way. We have the complete revelation of God yet continue to sin and do so in the face of God without repentance from a huge portion of those that claim to know Him. That is precisely why the remnant will be small, yet God in his mercy will seek us till the final harvest of souls. We have all the tools yet for the most part we don’t seem to have a clue as to how to use them. To whom much is given much is expected. Is it any wonder as to why the Lord will say to many: “I never knew you – get thee from me.” There is hope as we regain an understanding of the model Jesus left us of Ecclesia and embrace a five-fold ministry absent since 70 AD.

We can pull many precious promises from this chapter of 2 Chronicles as well as others. In 20:20 “Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” We must have focused vision and believe that the Bible is the Word of God. We should take seriously the prophetic word given by godly prophets. In 20:22-23 we see the power of praise in moving the arm of God and in 20:14 where the prophet tells the people not to be afraid of the multitude for the battle is not theirs but the Lord’s. Recall that after King Solomon had dedicated the temple and the Glory had come down and filled the same, we find in 2 Chronicles 7:12-14 “And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

All these precious promises and even greater ones are ours today. The Body of Christ must arise and become His Ecclesia. Where is your faith? Many have compromised in this day and the enemy has waltzed right in and seized the hearts and minds of elected leadership in my nation, The United States of America, and the nations of the world. Complacency, apathy, and spiritual decay is the state of most of the world. We have been lulled to sleep as our enemy has crept slowly and skillfully into positions of power and authority. The word says rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Witchcraft is very prevalent worldwide and we tolerate it. I ask you WHY? It is an abomination to God that we tolerate sin, rebellion, and stagnate therein. We have the authority and power of God available to us. Why are we asleep? Why do we believe the media over God? Why are we cowering to a man-made disease, a mere flu with man-made variants to spike it? Why do we listen to evil leaders and like sheep to the slaughter take an unproven vaccine designed to kill us and track us until that goal is achieved? WHY? Why can’t we arise in faith and overcome our enemy by the power of God? We are designed to conquer evil and accept nothing less than victory and the liberty therein.

Saints, I personally believe that as the days become darker and hope appears to dissipate, it is not time to give up rather it is time to rejoice and find the level of faith where miracles reside. As for me and my house we serve the Lord. No weapon formed against us can prosper. The Precious Blood of Jesus that procured my salvation is impervious to the enemy. To stay sane and focused on Victory in my region, my nation and my Apostolic metron of Africa, I place all my cares upon the altar and God fights my battles for me. I know He cares for me and for you. One word from God and all our enemies would vanish. I see miracles often and believe He has one for you too. Place your cares upon Him and accept all He has for you. Let the Ecclesia arise and take back the Nations for Jesus, the inheritor of them all, and His own for we are joint heirs. Glory – Glory – Glory!!!

Blessings to you and remember 2 Chronicles 20:20 “Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”
